Susan Mabry, the longstanding clerk of Carroll County, on Monday was named county clerk of the year for the state by the Georgia County Clerk’s Association.

The honor comes as no surprise to those who know Mabry. Long-time friend and a co-worker for the last five years, Cissy Price said Mabry demonstrates a sincere desire to serve, and it’s evident in the way she comports herself every single day.

“She’s very deserving,” Price said. “Her number one job is to serve the public, and that’s what she does.”
